Company Introduction

Roy Allen Group (RAG) is a Johannesburg-based physical commodity trading boutique registered in South Africa. It is mainly focused on the energy business with a particular interest and experience in South African coal trading. RAG is also involved in Anthracite, Chrome, Lithium, and Copper trading.

RAG was founded at the end of 2018 to serve the local markets as a coal supplier as well as the international industrial markets (including the power, steel, cement, and chemical industries, etc.) beyond South Africa. Our company has entered into term supply agreements with third-party mines to source coal and other commodities being traded in order to fulfill our clients needs.

Since 2018 the trading volumes of our domestic customer base of coal have therefore sharply increased and with the access to greater supply origination and an interest in demand globally, we have grown into an international coal trading group company with dedicated and experienced management. To date, our company has increased our commodity supply to include Anthracite, Gold, Copper, and Lithium.

On a monthly basis we have numerous coal-laden barges on the water which are shipped to our buyers designated discharge locations: Either local ports, export ports, stockpiles, or mother vessels, always meeting the requirements of our clients in time while ensuring the quality and quantity which we have previously agreed upon.

RAG is a young dynamic company that continues to extend the supply base to meet local and international demand for our commodity supplies.
